Pepper Soya Mince
I
wanted to make something which I could use plain or use as a stuffing. Mum plans to make potato chops tomorrow and
the niece wanted samosas today! This
soya mince works for both. You could
make this with beef kheema or even chicken kheema.
Collect
it:
Roast
and grind
·
2
tsp coriander seeds
·
1
tsp cumin seeds
·
1
tbsp pepper corn
·
2
red chillies (de seeded, if you do not like it hot)
Rest
of the ingredients
·
250
grams soya granules
·
1
tbsp oil
·
A
few curry leaves
·
4
cloves
·
2
small cinnamon sticks (the size of your nail)
·
1
cardamom
·
1
green chillie, finely chopped
·
1/2
tsp ginger garlic paste
·
Salt
to taste
Make
it:
Roast the ingredients listed under ‘Roast
and grind’ and set aside to cool. When cool grind coarsely. You
can make it a fine powder.
Boil water and pour on the soya
granules. Let it rest. Drain the granules and set aside.
In a pan, heat oil. Add curry leaves,
cloves, cinnamon sticks, cardamom, green chillie. Fry well for a minute. Add
garlic ginger paste and cook for a minute.
